A must own for anyone who loves Ronnie Milsap
To coin an album title, this is indeed Milsap MAGIC! 21 CDS scoping from early 70s to now, with every song from every album (unlike some CD releases which cut tracks off), and including albums which never were converted to CD or digital formats until this set (Out Where the Bright Lights Are Glowing is one shining example...IMHU his BEST album!).
A definite must own for anyone who loves Ronnie!

South Park - A (Hilarious) Truly Paradoxical, Cult Classical Synposis of Americana
South Park, which was ironically originally turned down by Fox (who had the Simpsons and Married with Children at the time--how could they pass this up???--it was PERFECT for the irreverent vibe they had going!--Comedy Central did well to pick it up), is the most entertaining, irreverent, mindless yet thought-provoking, in-your-face, socially relevant to the times, potty mouthed, truly hilarious, bold, as in "oh no, they didn't" show on any form of television or visual media. Does all that seem totally contradictory? You bet! And that is what makes this show BRILLIANT, for what it is.
It is NOT for younger or more sensitive viewers, likely NOT for those offended by language or (often truthful but darkly bold) depiction of sociological groups, events, and individuals and such, but for anyone with an open mind and a non-judgmental attitude towards what is being viewed, the need to laugh at what crazy stuff is, or was, going on in the world at the time of the creation of the episodes, or as the theme song invites, to just unwind, and have one's self a time, it is a true gem.
The central characters are grade-schoolers who you would swear (no pun intended) did a few tours in the armed forces based on their propensity for cussing and filthy talk (the boldest and by far dirtiest of which, ironically, is Kenny--the kid you can't really understand due to a muffled voice...but if you pay close attention, he is the foulest of them all, including his lines in the show's theme song (if you research the lyrics--a BRILLIANT way to side-step the censors, Matt and Trey!!!!)...but at the same time, the innocence and ability of children to see and describe things with no filter, much to the chagrin of the adults of South Park, who embody very unique characteristics themselves, and who often times get tripped up by the childrens' reactions and solutions. This series means no harm to, but pokes fun at, literally EVERYONE, including celebrities who are pertinent at the current time, which is priceless. At the time of this review, there are 23 seasons...with seemingly no end in sight, and, like the Simpsons, since it is animated, these lovable foul-mouths never age and remain as hilarious in season 23 as they were in season 1.
I purchased the DVD box 5 - sets (seasons 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20) because I wanted to see ALL the episodes IN ORDER, not that they have to be seen that way (as they don't too much build on each other as some shows do), but more because they follow our history, politically, socially, and even spiritually, and since the syndication reruns do not play all episodes and do not play them in any order, I wanted to see if doing so would make a difference. It does, HUGELY ! I look forward to the next set (hopefully 21-25) if-n-when it comes out in a couple years. In the meantime, I am enjoying watching these I own in the order aired.
Like other vulgar, silly, potty-mouthed comedy (Dumb and Dumber comes to mind immediately), South Park is a perfect choice IF you're in the mood and understand that this is what you're gonna get. If you're more in the "Wizard of Oz" or "Andy Griffith" mood, South Park will likely leave you disappointed...or running away as fast as you can...just sayin'.
Hope this was helpful. Peace to all.
