dense, but absolutely fascinating
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is dense, and hard reading. However, it is absolutely fascinating. As a girl more interested in poetry and heroics, I nevertheless found this book a load of fun. 600+ pages... it is FASCINATING (and I am no military historian buff.)
It is not in stuffy language at all (or as close it can be to that, first written 100 years ago)
I think everyone would enjoy this book. Even if you aren't interested in history, this is neat.

alot of fun
It was a fun read, and taught me alot. Also, it had the right balance of vivid storytelling and respect for historical fact and the dead. Recommended.

Short little paperback, excellent study aid
this short little paperback is an excellent study aid. Its the next step up from flashcards, and not a bulky dictionary. Use this after you've mastered the 1000 flashcards, this will build your NT Greek vocabulary to the next level.
