Problem solved.
Even though I have an older dedicated shotgun cleaning rod, the standard sized brushes for shotguns never fully fitted into it. This little adapter lets you use a regular threaded rifle rod and allows it to accept the proper brushes and jags for shotguns. Problem solved!
