What's Shakin - Eric Clapton & Mike Bloomfield
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this album when it first came out in 1966! My favorite cut was "One More Mile" by The Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Others were Al Kooper and
"Can't Keep From Crying Sometimes"! Also, Eric Clapton and the Powerhouse just blew me away! Back then you couldn't listen to better guitar than what Eric Clapton and Mike Bloomfield did on this record. Eric played a great instrumental with "Steppin Out". I wore that record out!! So, after seeing it was out on cd, I knew I would have to get it. I missed those songs greatly!
So, if you've followed Eric Clapton and/or Paul Butterfield Blues Band /w Mike Bloomfield you should own this cd!! End of Story!

Again, it's Clare Torry's wonderful voice on the album!
I bought it mainly for the song Yellow Stone Park! It's a beautiful song highlighting Clare Torry of "The Great Gig In The Sky" on Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon! Love the rest of the album also.

For Mountain and Leslie West fans it's a must have tribute. But don't expect anything better than what Leslie himself recorded!
A very sincere effort from Leslie's peers! The only questionable song was Long Red and having Yngwie Malmsteen as lead guitar. Yngwie is great at what he does and has many fans an followers, but his style of shredding just didn't match that great song at all.
