Excellent wig
Great. Does the job (80s mullet). Actually used for a Labyrinth goblin king costume and it looked excellent.

Was looking for a sharp and reliable macro lens - and this is exactly what this is. The image quality is pin sharp and it's a "true macro" lens, which has 1:1 magnification, meaning that at its closest focusing range, the image on the sensor (or the film) is the same size as the object in focus. Also, being f2.8 makes it a good portrait lens, although really at longer distances when used on a crop sensor camera (APS-C size, rather than full frame 35mm sensor).
Its USM focusing is very fast. Sometimes searches a bit if starting from a very out-of-focus position, but generally if it's already close, it'll snap into focus in a blink.
It's fairly weighty at 600g and can be a little tiring on the hand if the camera is only gripped in one hand, but it's build quality is worth the weight.
