8 cores /16 threads do more, faster
XEON at a good price. Does not support Intel Smart Response technology like typical i-7s but has plenty of heft and 8 cores! Installed in a ASROCK X99WS workstation board. CPU upgrade from i7-5920k.

just drilling ahead!
They charge and they work. I have not had them long enough to fully rate them. If they last and work OK for 3 or 4 years, that would be great. Ni-Cads are tricky, and not always reliable.

Worm drive focus adjustment
Nice product. Excellent provider and service. Though I can recommend this product, I find it has some limitations when used in a vertical position (i.e. copy stand use) with a full size DSLR and Macro lens. The problem being too much off axis play when trying to focus at 1:1. Up and down movement with the adjuster has my camera moving left or right off the perpendicular line. This is probably not a problem if shooting in a horizontal mode. I am trying to reduce the amount of play in the unit and will talk with the manufacturer for a solution.
