Amazing Bible, well worth the money

I bought this for my adult godson who was baptised and confirmed this year at the Easter vigil. I have this Bible and it is lovely. The quality and design is to a high standard, the style is modern which I know some will not choose for their main Bible. However, I have my old Douay-Rheims so can opt for old language if I wish. They made a serious effort with this NRSVCE in taking themselves back to the original scripture and translating from original transcripts from the era. They tried to stay as true to the original writings as possible throughout with the translation and have done an amazing job. The illustrations are not originals of course and it would have been incredible if they had instead used colour plates like in older bibles rather than print but I do understand it would be cost prohibitive. Overall a well translated Bible, easy to read with full page format rather than the split page. Looks great and should last many sessions of intensive reading throughout the years.

No convinced this is the real deal

I received this at a much reduced rate compared to shop prices and I think I know why. When I opened it, the liquid inside was considerably runnier than my other bottle of it (bought at a chain store locally) and the top doesn’t work as it is supposed to in order to suck up the liquid. When I manage to get a little bit in, it drips right out so I suspect it is either fake or watered down in some way. I highly recommend the real product. It truly is very good but get it from a trusted place and not on ebay. Truly disappointed but I guess I get what I pay for. Won’t buy it here again.
