Whiskey Galore!
You couldn't get anything more comprehensive on this subject than this book.The range and scope is breathtaking with detailed analysis of 1000's of whiskies, but a bit over the top for the average enthusiast; more for the dedicated connoisseur, I think, who is prepared to treat each tasting as an almost ritual process. Cost might be a bit of a barrier to trying and comparing the whiskies for a prolonged period, which this book makes me want to do and my palate, at least, is often at variance to his in assessing the qualities of many brands. Ah well! It's fun trying.
