I own all the books written by Madame A dele Margolis and they are all extremely informative for selftaught Designers and savvy sewers. Madame Margolis privides very clear steps especially on darts manipulation and the different methodology utilized such as slash and spread pivoting in a concrete manner .. .. THere are a labyrinth of books on pattern making and all of them fall short and in fact they are confusing.. Madame Margolis explained the simple and clear rules of pattern making and allows me to create my own patterns . Because of her expertise there is no need to buy commercial patterns anymore . Her books allow students and selh taught to understand all design conceots in a simplified manner and gain mastery over them. concepts such as shaping fabrics to your figure,pleats flounces darts manipulation, and gave myriads of illustrations accompanied with ecercises..A classic textbook to be utilized at University level.
