Takes the listener back to another time....
This album is more about the "experience" of a live show in a small theater with the elites of that day...It is a recording of a show...NOT so much a concert. If all you want are songs then perhaps pass on this release, as there seems to be almost as much banter and fooling around as there are songs. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but once or twice I wish that superb big band was allowed to romp a bit more. This show is a time capsule from Vegas in the early 60s, pretty much the hey day, of both the venue and the performers.
If you are a snowflake, or some other type of hyper sensitive social warrior, this isn't going to be for you. But if you enjoy pure talent from three of the biggest names in Show Biz history you will love this glimpse into the Rat Pack and the love they truly had for each other, even as they trade barbs and insults...In fact it's really a love fest. A lovely return to a time when people were mature and could laugh at themselves without being offended.
I bought the Vinyl, and am very pleased with the quality. Didn't hear a pop or click, and mastering was great. 180 gram Vinyl made in Holland, packaging is excellent with nice sleeves. Well worth the money.

Wonderful sounding, astounding bargain.
These Jazz Wax pressings with the Metal cutting mastering process are truly astounding. A wonderful value. Not a single crack, pop, or click on the entire album...Wonderful sound.
