Prothane, the only way to go.
Along with wanting to replace the old rubber mounts in the 65 ImpalaSS and the hope of curing the drag link hitting the oil pan, these Prothane mounts did just that.
The old mounts were worn out and one was actually broken and now, not only is the engine sitting level and tight but, the drag link is no longer hitting the oil pan when front wheels are turned all the way and, in fact the link now misses hitting the pan by 1/4"! My customer is very impressed and pleased with the outcome of going Prothane and so am I.

DIY and Save $$$$
Considering dealership wanted $68.00 to do a five minute ( I did it in one min ) R&R I’d say this far better deal price wise and quality wise as well. This was better filter than dealer had installed before which was a cheap non charcoal filter. This filter fit perfectly. Note: if you can YouTube, you can do this and have money left over to go out for dinner;-)
