Soldier On The Wall - Alex Harvey
Dissapointing to see that the last bit of work that Alex Harvey finised before leaving this planet was so boringly mainstream. When I saw the opportunity to finally get my hands on his final recording, which before was almost impossible to find, I was really looking forward to hearing it. This recording reminded me more of someone going through the motions than the dynamic, smack you in the mouth sound we've come to know. It didn't help that he used back up players and not his usual posse for the sound, which is about exciting as the tone of Alex's voice on every track.
Alex, I wish your last recording was the same caliber as to what you brought to us back in the early 70's. That being, thanks for all the great memories. Rest in Peace Alex...

Tomahawk- Back in Form
Mike Patton and crew do it again with this release. Interesting choice of words in the lyrics, Mike's incredible vocal range and ominous, edgy and chaotic rhythms. A nice progression from the first two releases of Tomahawk but is reminiscent of the last Faith No More album. Looking forward to the next release for sure.
