Ferris Feelgood
This really is a feelgood film: the acting, direction, timing and joie de vivaciousness is pure candy floss, but with the unexpected bonus of a huge slice of tongue-in-cheek from end to end of the storyline. Not a huge teen-comedy fan - I had to buy.

Free-Will or just Free-Range?
Well, after looking like corn-stuffed & rather red-faced in Seasons 5 & 6 - MadMen characters in Season 7 really do move the weight off and move on to brighter things ... at least many of them do - in the end it's "Don-Jon" who has the 'beautitude' moment - x-legged and buddha like smile... neat. If you're int clotheshistorydesign it's worth watching just to see the clothing-style reminders

Maybe 'mad', but man!
As ever - except for, surprisingly and disappointingly, much of Season 4 - Season 2 continues the sharp and creatively holistic script writing ethos. The acting continues to be excellent, with some welcome 'strong' female characters. I've just started watching Season 3 [a friend lent me Season 4 a few weeks before now] and the first 2 episodes have been visionary.
