A beautifully strange and haunting film.
This film is unique in that I can't think of any other film to compare it with. Excellent portrayal of the depiction of strange events in rural community in the early 1950's through the eyes of a young boy.
The characters are film's strength.

Greg Araki. Enough said.............................
Its a Greg Araki film so its going to be unusual. Its about college students enjoying life.
The characters are well-developed.
Thrown into this college scene is the possibility of a conspiracy.
Great outtakes and deleted scenes.

A CLASSIC from the 1980's.
This film is, in my opinion, the best of the 1980's horror genre. Character are believable and the portrayal of a hard-nosed police detective, Ray Chapman couldn't be better. Special effects are good, but its the characters and story are what make this a great film.
