In a gross somewhat sensationalized style, explains how genes control us and all living things, though with some minor mistakes.
For those not in the know about biology, evolution and genes, the book is an eye-opener with many bizarre examples of "natural" life. If you don't know that genes rule the world (and that includes you), read it!

Enough undersea action to keep the war-hound interested, while telling the human side of submarine war.
Interesting in its detail of life in WWII submarines, tells a good, gritty story.

For a select few.
This is a stream of consciousness book supposedly non-fiction. It's well written but the author's constant attempt to be hilarious wears on the reader. He also makes some political comments i personally couldn't appreciate.
