Very nice for the price!
No, it’s not synthetic. Yes, it’s well made. Room for everyday & for business stuff you may need to lug around. Outside pockets are great access-kleenex, pen, keys.. Can get a legal pad or folders inside. Additional pocket in back for things you must grab without fishing-chapstick, bus pass. I’m 5’5” & Strap doubled is right for me (purse bottom to my waist.)
Only drawback is that it is TOO accommodating & if you fill it up your shoulder will ache & important things will get lost. In other words, better for a few large contents when in need than dozens of smaller items just ‘cause you might need them. you’ll never find them.
The leather is so nice you have to look twice to know it’s real. I fear it will stain too easily & am looking for good leather equivalent of Scotchguard.

Always buy genuine shearling
Imitation shearling makes your feet sweat & gets crushed. Genuine shearing lasts forever, it seems, keeps your feet warm.
