A fun reimagining

I bought this "recap" version out of curiosity, since I've been a fan of the original series since its initial broadcast in the mid 1980s. As with any recap (shortening roughly 20 hours of material down to 4-5 hours) a lot has been lost, but the character redesigns are nice, the animation reworks are slick, and it's great fun to see how the creators chose to "improve" the story. I still prefer the original, but thoroughly enjoyed watching the rewrite.
