Alan Plater's Beiderbecke Trilogy is one of my favourite programmes of all time, his writing is sharp, clever, and witty.
Marry that with great comic actors like James Bolam, Barbara Flynn, and Terence Rigby amongst others, then you've got yourself a gem.
Jill & Trevor are teachers in a Leeds school(the original Educating Yorkshire) who quite innocently get themselves mixed up in criminal activity.
A running theme throughout the series is Trevor's love for jazz, which proves quite poignant at the very end of the final series, The Beiderbecke Connection.
I just absolutely love.
