X100F, not all it's cracked up to be
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich People tend to rave about the X100 series and after having an X100F for a while, I can understand where all the hype is coming from. It's a good looking camera and most definitely a premium compact, not to mention having physical dials to control the important aspects of the camera is a real treat.
For me, the honeymoon phase ended a few weeks after purchase:
The idea behind the hybrid viewfinder is also great however as a film shooter I have to say the optical part of the viewfinder is nowhere near the quality of the ones on film rangefinders.(Leicas, Nikons, Voigtlander Bessas or even some Canon models) I also found it difficult to navigate past the fact that frame lines only cover 92% and don't line up to the center. In all fairness that's a personal preference and it might not bother you. I ended up using the EVF most of the time and for that reason I can't justify the price difference over an X-E3.
I ended up selling my copy a few months after purchase. Good camera, just not for me.

DP2m - the b&w king
Not easy to use, battery dies after 60 shots. Files are painfully large and cumbersome to process. I use it as a black and white camera which is where it truly shines.
The image quality is ridiculously good across the range and makes up for every single one of the drawbacks. The software it comes with can also do some cool things with the blue channel when shooting black and white.
Would definitely recommend it for an advanced photographer who came from black and white film.
