Bombastic female Euro Rock
Gudrun Laos fronts you the group LAOS.
It’s a fabulous piece of bombastic Euro Rock driven by a solid and strong female vocal. It’s an eclectic mix styles, with flashes of 80s Heart, Roxette and Joan Jett.
Now That Its Over mixes a solid vocal with superb musicianship with the guitars biting in and soaring through the solo.
Other highlights include “We Called It Love” and “Jericho”.
It’s not all hard rocking guitars and strong voice, with some softer ballads hidden among the tracks. It’s enough to make me at least wonder “what could have been?” as this was their sole album before Gudrun moved on as a solo artist.
If you’re a fan of the artists I mentioned earlier, or groups like Avantasia it’s well worth a listen.
