Focusrite ISA Two
If you need a solidly built fantastic sounding Mic Pre this should be considered. We are a professional studio with numerous outboard Pre's and the reason to look at this was the ability to have almost 80 Db of gain for the misc - perfect for ribbon mics. This pre and a pair of Neumann 102's or 103's on Acoustic Guitar is unbeatable.

The Best Design in an analog pre and comp/limiter available.

They are among the best front end for a great DAW and no amount of plugins at any price can equal the sound of the five (yes 5) tubes in this unit. The 610 is the sound of classic rock and can be sweet or growl as you need it and the comp/limit side beats anything (except the actual LA-2A) in the digital universe. No better combination than this pre, this comp/limiter and your DAW.

Fender 57 deluxe
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I would call this a destination amp, certainly not one on the journey. Very simple in its controls, and by driving the AlNiCo 12 inch jensen P12 R you certainly get the vintage sound we are all looking for. I sold a Fender Bassbreaker to partially pay for this amp and I find the sound at lower volumes to be similar, but when you push the bassbreaker, my vibrolux, the 59 RI bassman or the modern deluxe, you get an interesting edge to the sound that is not found when you push the 57 deluxe. The option to change out one of the 12ax7's for a 1 ay7 for the lower gain sound added heavy cream to an already great milk shake. Loads of harmonics and actually it is suprizingly loud. I am driving it with a gretsch 6119 ht (single coils), a Gibson 335 and an Epiphone Sheraton, both of these are humbuckers. The best instrument is the Epiphone! One last thought - we referred to the Bassbreaker as the Back Breaker (at 70 lbs), and this little guy comes in at 22 lbs! Maybe less really is more. Great in the studio, will need a mic and monitoring on a big stage.
