Solidly entertaining
Foyles war presents an interesting view of Britain during WWII. The actors playing Foyle and his driver exude a dry wit, and Foyle's investigations have many interesting twists and turns, all understated. If you need fast cars, dozens of explosions and gallons of blood in a movie to interest you, don't bother with these/
