Beautiful - worth the read!
I love this book.I imagine myself a young white girl in a country with only parents and the natives for friends. I imagine my life, happy and satisfying full of love and finding joy in the simple things. What a wonderful life. Until I see the greed and selfishness and ruthlessness that exists and me being forced to be a part of that life.
I always put myself in the main characters shoes and I feel all her emotions as we venture together through the years, The ony thing I have against it, is toward the ending, it seems to go too fast as if trying to cram the ending in to meet the page limit. Otherwise, I like the ending.

Attention grabbing
Learning about other cultures has always been important to me and reading about it in a fictional way makes it even more entertaining for me. This book is a quick read, (less than a day) but so much is learned about the customs and the culture of India. In my wildest dreams, I cannot imagine being a girl in India marrying a man (boy) I nor my family has ever even met and then to think I could never see my family again! It's a book that should make a person stop and think about what they have, why they have it, and then learn to appreciate it.

Fun to watch/great entertainment
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this movie after seeing the previews for "Summer of Monkeys". The little girl I keep seemed to like watching the monkeys so I tried to find it for her. I was thrilled to find it as a "Family 4 Pack". Although we have only watched two of the movies they have both been entertaining and well worth the money! I love movies that I don't have to worry about language and violence. These are just good old-fashioned fun to watch movies. I highly recommend this product.
