2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I did NOT buy this thing to mill grain, though I won't rule it out. I was recently given a very nice coffee machine, and figured it was time to up my game and grind my own coffee beans. I did a lot of googling on the difference between coffee grinders and grain mills. Spoiler alert, there's much less between them than you might have thought.
This is a great little device. If you have a KitchenAid already and don't want a stand-alone grinder taking up space on your bench, it's an improvement. It looks good. It's incredibly well-engineered and built (I believe it's manufactured in Germany). Importantly, there are very few moving parts, so the whole thing can be taken apart and brushed clean quite quickly. The fit is tight with no play once attached.
Performance? Great. Fast assembly, easy to use, quick take down. You can make yourself one or two days of ground coffee in a couple of minutes. And the fine/coarse setting is simple and easy to adjust. Once you find your preferred grind, leave the dial there and you're all good. There WILL be a few straggling whole beans/large chunks after grinding. It's easy enough to pop those back in your supply. So far my practice has been to simply brush it out for most uses, full take-apart once a week for full cleaning.
I'm sure the performance with oats, wheat, linseeds, or similar would be every bit as good, but the value of a European-built conical burr coffee grinder for less than a hundred US dollars was too good to pass up for me, and that's the focus of MY experience with it.
I believe the newer Jupiter-Messerschmidt attachments are Lexan, rather than metal. This is likely an obsolete model for which stock still exists (I'm speculating). I've no idea why the change was made, but I actually prefer the look of this one. There are also hand-crank models available. I'd imagine they use a comparable burr system.
This is a quality product. If it suits your needs, I can endorse it strongly.

Fantastic starter unit for your first home NAS.
This is a great little unit. If you're looking to shift media files off your laptop or desktop and have them available to anybody connected to the network, this makes that process easy. It's even better if you have a PS4 or similar hooked up to your television.
The same is true for photos or music. You can also backup non-media files.
The unit is probably more than a couple of years old, I think the model was released about eight years ago, but seems to be in very good shape. It can be set up as a RAID (two disks with identical information) for extra backup, but we chose to use the two 1TB drives as bulk storage, effectively one big disk.
Importantly, these are devices that are generally meant to be left 'on' and accessible 24/7, but the very efficient low-energy-use sleep state means it's not burning through much electricity when it's not actively being accessed, which is an advantage for running costs and the environment.
I've only been using it for about a week, but I can't say anything bad about it. I should have bought one sooner.

Astonishingly good value
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich These cartridges are after-market copies. An original Brother toner cartridge equivalent is likely to cost between $120 and $190 PER COLOUR. The price of sixty-five dollars or so for all four cartridges is therefore remarkable.
But of course, none of that would represent a particularly good value if they didn't work.
They do.
I DID notice that two colours "jammed" a bit when first installed. I found that spinning the white, toothed gear on the left side of the cartridge fixed this problem immediately for both colours. Neither have caused any problem since.
Other than that, I've noticed no difference in comparison to the cartridges that came with the printer.
I heartily endorse this product. I saw no loss of quality, and at a tenth the cost of the original, it's a savings that can't be passed up.
