G1130 and G1100 Canons
If your on a budget they are great value for money.
They use CIS heads for scanning the document so the image to the original scan is A1.

Wonderful Scanner
The G1100 and G1130 models from Canon have superb image quality and and very light to transport around for off site scanning work .
Very cheap to get repaired too, compared to other similar units on the market .
Very easy to work on if you DIY .
Very easy to use canon capture perfect software which you should look out for , only buy one with this included as only the updates are available to download from canon’s web site .
We use the Document Management Group to service these units in the UK and to supply our consumables .
Very nice people to deal with .

Best on the market
Even though the Kodak i4650 scanner replaces this model , there is no advantage other then a bigger on board display and an extra 10 ppm speed increase .
This Scanner model has great running gear and extremely cost effective to own .
The consumables seem to last for ever , image quality is great and the after sales and service providers are plentiful for this model unlike the i4650 which is tied exclusively to Kodak on service .
We find Scanfix@Virginmedia the best cost effective provider for these models .
