A good bang for the Buck (no pun intended)
This Tamiya kit comes loaded with detail. It may be a bit dated, as the kit was released back in 2005. Not the most expensive kit, compared with the new Trumpeter, or Revel kits out there, but
it still has the potential to be a super detailed kit with added photo-etch, and wooden deck sets.
Lots of small and detailed parts. Magnifier recommended when working on this one.
I have already purchased the deck set, and I am currently waiting on aftermarket brass barrels for it, and will be building it for my cousin, who is a fanatic when it comes to early WW 2 battleships, of either Great Britain, or Germany.
HMS Hood is arriving shortly, too.

Perfect fit
Nicely turned brass barrels to fit the Bismarck/Tirpitz 1/350 scale Tamiya kits.
These replace the solid plastic kit barrels. The brass ones have a depression at top end, replicating the projectile end of the barrel.
There is a small turned shaft on the large end, to accommodate the hole that has to be drilled in the pivot ring that it will mount to, after having cut the ring off the kit barrel.
Fits nicely into the turret openings, and holds paint well if primed.

Master Tools Cleaner really cleans up!
The Master Tools Cleaner picks up dust, sand, bread crumbs, eraser bits, and plastic model kit shavings.
Lots of suction, and very easy to clean. Bottom comes off to expose the built in filter - bottom doubles as the dirt tray.
Runs on two double A batteries, mounted in the top half of the unit. and is very quiet.
We used to have two of these vacuum types from Pico , that we bought at our local Wallack's Art Supplies, about 20 years ago, and have been looking for replacements for them for a couple of years now.
