Great Upgrade
Years ago when digital cameras were on the market I bought a point and shoot digital. I finally upgraded that camera to a Nikon D40x that permitted me to take pictures inside of places where flash was not permitted. The D40x is a very nice "entry" camera to digital SLR quality photos, but I found the camera failed me in certain situations. I asked my photography minded friends for suggestions and every one of them told me to get a 4-digit Nikon, so I read reviews and selected the D5500. I had 2 lenses for my D40x, and the D5500 kit came with a lens I already had, so I began seeking a body only that was a super good price. I am amazed at the things this camera can do and I suspect my learning cycle will continue for years to come. I have already had some of my photos produced on canvas, and the 24.3 megs look fantastic on a 12 x 18 canvas.
