Superb !
I am delighted with this purchase. The Guide is authoratative,, beautifully illustrated,, and a pleasure to hold and to explore,.It brings back wonderful memories of my visit to Madrid, and of my admiration for the masterpieces in one of the finest art galleries in Europe. Heartilly recommended !In its nearly 500 pages, this Guide illustrates and describes more than 400 works of art from some of history's most famous artists, from Velazquez to Goya,, from Titian to Tiepolo, from Bosch to Rubens : its collections encompass Spanish, Italian, Flemish, Dutch, French and British paintings, along with sculptures and art collections. A superb publication. This Guide deserves a place in the home of all who appreciate fine art.

Magnificent !
This is a beautifully produced and fascinating account of one of the world's greatest artists. The ilustrations are superlative, the descriptioms of his life and achievements are scholarly and full of insights, and the book is a joy to handle, to own and to enjoy. It thrills me, and I heartily recommend it.
