Does exactly the job we needed it for...putting leftovers into mason jars! Looks like it will hold up for a good while.

Spectacular tool. Beats all other rod types out there. Great engineering.
The lenker-style rod allows you set a base reference level, either at zero for cut & fill tape or at last digit left of decimal point of actual elevation for direct reading tape. This makes reading and setting elevation changes so much easier because every reading is directly relative to the reference. If you need to move the laser to reach another part of the property, all you need is one flag point common to both fields of view and you move the tape after you've moved the laser to give the same offset from your base elevation measured at that flag prior to moving. This eliminates the need to do a lot of math in your head or on paper that often results in errors. The LaserLine has ingenious method for adjusting the circular tape and locking it in place. Once the tape is recalibrated, find your elevations either by sliding the laser receiver along the rail, or locking the laser onto the rail and sliding the rail to get readings out of your reach. No repeated tightening and loosening laser receiver to attach it to the rod. LaserLine GR rods are truly well designed and quality engineered product. I'm so impressed with it. I haven't had opportunity to use it in the field yet, but looking forward to it!
