A wonderful collection of master takes and recording session material from Elvis' 'lost/forgotten' 1963 album. Makes you wonder why The Colonel/Elvis allowed this album to be buried when the songs are much better than anything on the previous soundtrack albums. It contained a Number hit single 'The Devil In Disguise', a Chuck Berry rocker that was better than the original 'Memphis, Tennessee' and one of his most heartfelt ballads 'It Hurts Me' - not to mention one of the earliest uses of a fuzz box on the slow rocker 'Slowly But Surely'. A real missed opportunity by Colonel Parker who clearly was prepared to waste great songs as filler material on below par soundtrack albums.
