perfect for shiny hunting
The game works! I bought it to get non-english pokemon to breed for shiny pokemon, it came with a file on it already, which was great for me since I'm a lot closer to the point I need to be to start breeding pokemon and it will take less time fumbling through the Japanese.

Perfect for a budget DIY face-down scanner
Item was as described and it works perfect besides having a few cosmetic scuffs, but the glass and other important pieces were in perfect condition. I converted mine into a face-down scanner for large maps by removing the cover and shaving down the plastic around the edges, so the glass can lie flat. Once I got it squared away it works great! Also Canon doesn't provide any software for this anymore, but it works with the scan and fax application that came on my laptop (Windows Scan and Fax). The one complaint is that it did not come with a cord, but this wasn't a real issue because its the same port as tons of android cell phones from around 2008-20015 so I had a couple just lying around that I didn't use any more.
