POOR Quality ~ only lasted less than one fifth of the hours shown on the product box
40 WATT ROUND/CIRCULAR 40w T9 FLUORESCENT TUBE ~ Eveready T9 Circular 4Pin Fluorescent Tube ~ POOR quality ~ Only lasted for 7 months before failing ~ 1350 hours to be precise ~ Product box shows 10000 hour life shown in both pictures of the product box. The two previous tubes used in this fitting, lasted 4 years each. I would have given 0 stars if the review would allow it!

Item runs too HOT.

I had it turned on in a 230v power socket, WITHOUT any appliance plugged into the 110v outlet and the converter became too hot to hold in the hand comfortably.
I found gets even hotter if you plug even very light current devices into it to use.
Make sure it NEVER gets covered by material (ie curtains, drapes, furniture) when switched on, as I think it could be a FIRE hazard.

Be prepared to replace the Bearings
One bearing fitted incorrectly (pressed in using the inner race) result was a noisy, rumbling bearing. Due to time restraints, had to get it replaced locally at my expense. The drums themselves are good quality.
