Very compelling!
After watching a documentary on the History Channel, I was very impressed by what the author had to say, and immediately ordered this book.
At first I was a little wary due to the small print and thought it was going to be a very tedious read. I am a slow reader, and at the rate of approximately 1 chapter per night, it's going to take months to finish this book. That being said, I was immediately impressed with the author's style, knowledge, and in depth information about this most dark period in history.
It's hard to take it all in, but the author is not too wordy, giving just the right amount of information, and putting it in context of the times. There are excellent critiques of other books on the topic, and he lays out his thinking in a very logical and easy to follow manner. The book has a lot of photos, too.
I am "enjoying" this book as much as any book on this subject can be enjoyed. I also bought his book on the making of the A-Bomb, and am looking forward to reading that as well. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in history and the evil that men do.
All pros, no cons.
