Very bad screen

The product does what it is supposed to do, that is record from the front and back cameras at reasonable high quality. But that's it! You could get this for much cheaper. What is a disappointment is that the quality of the screen is atrocious. The refresh rate is unusable and the clarity is really bad. And if you are not directly in front of the screen and at the perfect angle you can't even see what's on the screen. Definitely NOT IPS as advertised and the reason I opted for this! I thought I could use the reversing mode in some way, but basically you can't see anything in that rubbish screen.

Good features but compatibility issues,bad radio and very poor brightness.

The good: Full of features incl usb,dvd,reverse cam,dvr,bluetooth,etc. Works with steering wheel buttons. Good sound (but see radio comment below). The bad: Can-bus failed, so wouldn't turn on. Even with replacement I had to hardwire an overwrite power cable at the back. At some point the can-bus failure meant that my indicators didnt work properly ... Had to break off part of the plastic harness of my X5 E53 to fit this in. No radio reception. Apparently this is a common issue on the internet with non-OEM radios ... now I know! By the way I tried all the suggested solutions including installing an external antenna amplifier, unsuccessfully. Screen brightness not suitable for driving in sunny weather. (I can't see anything even with the brightness at full during daytime). It's fine at night-time and in the garage. When using SATNAV it comes up with some error messages (about 1 in 5 times) running out of memory and crashes.

Good quality but needs patience

When I received the part I followed a how-to video on youtube. The instructions are straight forward, apart from the bit where you need to leave the nexus out in the sun to heat up and soften the glue. I was inpatient and didn't do that, so had broken glass flying all over the place while I was scraping it off with a screwdriver. Forgetting that moment (not for the faint-hearted), once the new glass was on it seems to be working much better than before. Nexus looks new now so I am keeping it in a nice case now.
