KOT Promo Pack - Nice Addition to Existing Card Set
These 11 additional cards add to the already-FUN-ness of the King of Tokyo base game and offer a few more tempting options to spend energy cubes on. No really big stand-outs in these cards. They blend in seamlessly with the original deck, so once you mix them in you'll quickly forget how to distinguish them from the others.
While I don't necessarily feel these 11 cards are near as exciting as the "Power Up!" Expansion was to the base game, they are a welcome addition to it! No complaints here.
If I had but one wish about KOT, I would hope this old (2011) game will continue to see support by means of new content via cards and monsters and that King of New York hasn't totally stolen its thunder... which from many reviews I've read, it may have done just that.

King of Tokyo "Power Up!" Expansion#1 ROCKS!
King of Tokyo's base game is extremely entertaining on its own, but one sure thing it was missing in making each of the monsters distinguishable is having their own unique set of skills. That's where the "Power Up!" Expansion#1 comes into play! This add-on integrates with the base game so easily that you could combine it with the base game on first play and hardly raise the game's learning curb which, by the way, is VERY simple to learn! As an additional bonus, this expansion adds one more new monster to the mix! The new "power-ups" come in the form of 56 Evolution Cards, giving to each of the 7 monsters their own special power cards. This expansion is definitely a game-changer for the better for a base game that was already a fantastic addition to my board game library. Very family-friendly, too!
