Mysterious and compelling
Worth the effort to read as characters and structure is superb and the atmosphere and description of 19th century New Zealand is wonderful. Kept me reading for several days and don’t want it to stop.

Beautiful art object in its own right
Gorgeous little book, beautifully researched and compiled with compelling photographs of Louise and her family with sculptured heads and spiders made with antique tapestry fragments that I have not seen elsewhere...I love it.
