Face Of An Angel
Halle has with great love and attention to character and period detail, honoured Dorothy Dandridge's memory beautifully. It examplifies the strong determination of a young black woman to explore her God given and hard worked for talent and aspire to the summit of the 1950's show business world. Halle's long and heartfelt desire to make this film, through the eyes of Earl Mills Dorothy's manager, is a testament to her drive to see, in a sense, justice to be done - in that the struggles and heartbreak of a young woman who gave so much pleasure and hope to many, yet endured so much - may be seen for all of us today.
