Nice, but the EF546D and EF547D product lines are nicer
The overall watch face of this EF503D product line is slightly smaller than the EF546D and EF547D product lines. The EF503 watch dial is somewhat smaller than the EF546D and EF547D watch dials, yet is not particularly harder to read. The EF503 watch case uses less metal, yet is also aesthetically designed to mimic the watch case design of Omega watches. The tachymeter has smaller numbers and is harder to read than the tachymeters on the other two mentioned models, yet is similar in appearance to the tachymeter on Omega Speedmasters. I strongly prefer the larger watch face and the easier to read tachymeters of the EF546 and EF547 models. The EF503 retains the same 100m water resistance and Japanese movement. So in a nut shell, Casio's new EF503 product line pretty much is the maximum manufacturing cost savings limit which can be achieved, and which still features the same warranty, 100 meter (10 ATM) seals, Japanese quartz movement instead of Chinese movement, and a quality stainless steel case which doesn't skimp on the amount of chrome content which, if too little, would lead to rust over time. This EF503D makes for a great everyday watch which might get banged around a bit. It also would be a splendid gift for the high school or college student.

You will spend many enjoyable days reading this encyclopedia!
Hundreds of aircraft are featured in this book. Generous descriptions and histories are presented for each aircraft and for classes of aircraft in general. Most of the aircraft are shown as very sharp line drawings (front, side and top), yet many aircraft are also shown with full color drawings. There also are numerous photographs and fold-out pages which present time lines and other information. Overall, the book is like a time machine about the history and development of all military aircraft.

A gorgeous watch which is accurate and which looks like it is more expensive.
The EF546 models are not shown on the Casio USA web site, but are shown on the Casio International web site. In other words, they are not directly distributed by Casio to the US market and must be imported by US dealers. The EF546D has been around for a few years, yet still is one of the nicer looking analog chronometer watches within the entire Edifice product line. Time keeping is remarkably accurate. All four of my Edifice watches keep time to within 3 seconds per month. Some EF546D models feature a two toned tachymeter ring. The EF546D's tachymeter ring has larger numbers and finer gradations, and larger seconds numbers than the tachymeter ring on the virtually as impressive EF547D models. I have a slight preference towards the somewhat cleaner appearance of the EF546D models, yet others might prefer the aesthetics of the fairly similar EF547D models. As far as I am aware, all of these models have 100m (10 atm) water resistance. In summary, these Edifice models are an excellent value which you will enjoy wearing, even on dress occasions.
