Poor construction, wobbly mount
The function of this adapter is to be able to mount RMS microscope objective or other optic to a Canon EOS DSLR for macro- and microphotography. It is not a direct EOS-RMS adapter, but includes 2 pieces: EOS-42 mm thread adapter and 42 mm-RMS "step ring". You must assemble it by screwing the two together. In theory this is fine, but in practice not so good with this product. The machining of the two pieces is imprecise and the step ring is very loose and wobbles a lot when screwed into the EOS adapter. This is unacceptable for an optical mount. The microscope objective can wobble out of alignment from the optical axis, with a very bad effect on any photos you might take.
