Icom CS-208 Programming Software for Icom IC-208, Icom 208H

Does what it is supposed to.

Some users stated that product was not user friendly. If a large amount of data has to be entered for programming, I can see how this could be burdensome. Each channel must be programmed separately; no options to copy/paste CSVs or tables of data. That includes all options for each channel/frequency desired. For the user needing only to program a dozen or two channels worth of data, the product works just fine. Icom certainly could have done a better job with this one but it does work exactly as described, just not very efficiently. I would buy again. anton188

Hard to Find Components

Items were exactly as described and were easily adapted to my Receiver.

3.5mm USB Programming Cable OPC-478U ICOM IC-F11 IC-F11S IC-2200H IC-2720H

Works perfectly but lacks documentation.

Cable and included software worked exactly as they were supposed to. I was able to program not one but two ICOM radios flawlessly. The only negative was that there was no supporting documentation with the product. Even the software did not contain 'help' files in any format. A short note could be included with information from the manufacturer as to how to obtain help for using this product. If it were not for advanced experience with scouring the net for this information, I would have been hard pressed to use trial and experience to get the radio(s) programmed. anton188
