I’m replacing a hardback copy of this I sold. I’m glad to have a soft cover copy because it takes up less room and is easier to carry when I go to appointments and have time to read!

Not your traditional grammar book!
I thought I might be able to use this as a grammar book for my Advanced Placement senior English classes, but knowing the students as well as I do now, I feel that I would be met with complaints, if not full-out rebellion, because it’s so far from the traditional grammar books they are used to. They would fuss about all the writing in it and the lack of traditional organization of material in it. I think it would be a good introduction to what they’ll be exposed to in college next year, however. Students now days would complain to their parents who, in turn, would have me in the principal’s office for not using more traditional grammar books. At this point in my career, I don’t want to have to explain why I chose this book. I’m the teacher, it’s my class. End of discussion. I enjoyed the book!
