A good fabric for jackets and structured things
Firstly, this is a well made fabric with a tight weave and true lines (I've ordered fabrics with warped weaves, before, so that's always a good thing to know).
Anyway, this is not a "soft" wool. It has a stiffer, slightly scratchy quality to it, so if you're going to make pants or a skirt, I highly recommend lining. It's the scratchy part that gives it away as being 70% wool. If it was just polyester it would be smooth, after all. Considering how outrageously expensive 100% wool is, I think this one is a really good value.

Sturdy, high grade satin
This is exactly the type of the satin I've been looking for. It's hard finding good quality polyester satin. Everything is either thin and cheap, or jumps up to real silk and becomes outrageously expensive. I needed something very shinny, thick, and silky. This will do what I need perfectly =)

Very pretty and surprisingly well made
I'll admit, when I bought this I was not actually expecting to get something that was really silver plated. Not for that price. But, it turns out that it definitely =). It's sturdy and doesn't bend too easily, so I highly recommend it.
