Day trips from Kansas City
This collection of short Day trips can be a good starting point for travel fun , trips you can take and still sleep in your own bed that night. I would recomend that you call ahead and verify that attractions are still open before making a 2 hour drive , the copy i bought was the 11th edition and was published in 2000 , a lot can change in 8 years.

Philips SA4126 mp3 player
I bought this for my wife to take on a trip.. small.. basic feature set. it saved her the size and weight of taking her cd player and cd's.. The base is a little thin , but otherwise its a good fit.. She likes the replaceable face plates (bezel)
