Very poor focus and sharpness
The physical build seems good, but the image sharpness and contrast are complete rubbish. I've tried all the tricks to get a sharper image, like using a sturdy tripod, bracketing the focus with very small increments, using a faster shutter speed, and using the self-timer to avoid vibration on shutter release, but all to no avail. Unfortunately being a mirror lens there's no aperture to stop down to improve the image quality (the final recourse for refractors).
The focusing scale is also way off calibration – I can assure you that the moon is more than 11m away. And why is there a need to focus way beyond infinity? I really don't know how they could design and sell a lens of such poor quality. There's also an element of deceit in the name – I'm sure that 'Centron' is meant to sound a bit like 'Canon' if you don't look too closely.

Accurate and versatile products
These are good, accurately made products that are essential for plastic modelling. I scratch-build model warships, and the ability to select the right widths and diameters of strip, rod, and tube makes for a clean finish. They also take the liquid polystyrene adhesive and clear multi-purpose adhesive (when sticking to MDF) well.

OK, but the thread feels gritty
The product works OK, but the threads on both clamps I bought feel gritty, even when oiled. I have one from the 1980s that is almost identical, but the thread is a different design, and much smoother. I wish I had bought more of them then.
