Major disappointment
I loved the first series of "Modus", which was well acted and a good storyline. The second series, however, was truly awful. The main characters - Inger and Ingvar - are still engaging and the addition of Paprika Steen as Ingvar's boss was a bonus. It's a shame we didn't see much of Inger's daughters and ex-husband because they were a key part of the first series,
Greg Wise's acting was perhaps the worst I have ever seen in a Scandi drama. Everything from his really bad American accent to his delivery of the script was cringe-worthy.
This was really disappointing. If you enjoyed the first series, avoid this one like the plague!

A thoroughly enjoyable read
A great read. If you haven't already tried any of Milly Johnson's books, I would give them a go. I particularly enjoyed "Here Come the Girls" and "A Spring Affair". They're the sort of books you find it hard to put down!

Excellent Caper
If you've never seen this film, I would highly recommend it. A former Lt Col (Jack Hawkins) gathers together a gang of 7 former soldiers who were either disgraced whilst in the service or creeping round the edges of criminality in civilian life. The 7 soldiers are some of the best British actors of the 1940s-60s - Nigel Patrick, Richard Attenborough, Brian Forbes, Roger Livesy, Kieran Moore, Terence Alexander and Norman Bird. You may not know their names, but you'll definitely recognise them if you're an avid watcher of British films of the era.
The plan is to rob a bank and they set about it with military precision.
A hugely enjoyable film which I would urge you to give a try.
