Compelling reading.
Great book showing her compassion and understanding that not all if her patients problems were physical. Some of the book made me want to cry, some of the kindness in adversity really renewed my hope for humankind. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

Compelling viewing.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The drama is based onreal life records from the London Hospital from the 1900's. It is realistic and effectively portrays the poverty and ignorance that the hospital staff were contending with and that much of the illness and disease was caused by a lack of a proper diet,sanitation,decent housing, poor unsafe working conditions,etc. It also shows the early development of new procedures, like X rays, the risks taken by the medics to develop new technology and the dedication of the staff.It's well adapted for a TV drama and the acting from Cherie Lungi, William Houston and other actors is excellent as are the sets and costumes. it's also very interesting as they give some facts and figures as well.The hypocrisy of some of the 'upper classes' as well as the hospital hierarchy and life before the NHS are well depicted.This was an excellent buy. I hope that the BBC will doanother series in due course.

Good product
Thus product is recommended, and used on clients, by my chiropodist. I have yet to try it out myself at home, though.
