Highly recomendable. Journey of a lifetime!
I bought the cd because of one of the leading actors in this production: Hadley Fraser. I absolutely love this recording. The more I listen to it, the more I fall in love with it. Wonderful music, absolutely great vocal performances from both Hadley Fraser and Stephanie J. Block and the cast. Would have loved to see the musical. A journey of a lifetime.
The only "bad" thing is, that you can only buy the cd in the US and it's very expensive (add customs).

Highly recommendable film
It's a dark, twisted and oddly fascinating film. If you like the noir genre or indie films, you'll love this film. I'm not a hardcore fan of the noir genre myself but I absolutely love this film because of the story line, the line up and because it's so fresh and daring. There are so many layers in this film and it really shook me up. The ending is heart breaking. I won't spoil anything here. But it's a film that stays with you for a long time.
The dynamic and chemistry between the characters is amazing - especially between the 2 brothers, Colson and Sam, played by the brilliant Kyle Schmid and Lucas Till. And Sonja Kinski who plays Fran is intimidating and ensnaring and has an enormous impact on pretty much everyone else in this film.
I highly recommend this film. If in doubt, watch it!!

Exciting, compelling and surprising - don't miss it!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this dvd because I'd seen the first couple of episodes on Tv and knew, that this was a show which I would definately like to see again and again, so I decided to buy the complete series. Great plot, exiciting storytelling, a combination of complicated, sometimes slightly dark yet compelling characters that was brought to life by a cast of wonderful actors - I especially love Jeremy Sisto's performance (Knapp). He is always a shear joy to watch. Unfortunately the show was cancelled after 13 episodes, which is the only downside as far as I can tell. It ends with a cliffhanger, which is both good and bad. Personally, I would like to see what happens next to Knapp, because Sisto has portrayed him so wonderfully, yet we know, that the sides or aspects of Knapp we have seen so far are only the top of the iceberg. So it would be great to be able to dig deeper into this man's personality and darker secrets. The ending, however, is also a strenght, because it's not a completely happy ending. The case is solved but another is introduced - and as audience we know that it is one of the outmost personal interest for Knapp. Whether the ending of episode 13 is considered a strenght or a weakness really doesn't matter, because all together you get 13 really great and exciting episodes, that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
