Next best thing to a full Gimbal head
Just received my Wimberley Sidekick. Was not sure if this would work as I wanted but it has proven to be everything I wanted and needed. Using with a Nikon D500 with a 200-500mm f/5.6 lens. Whole rig is between 7 and 8 pounds and this on my Induro BD2 ballhead has been nothing short of amazing. Looking to get a smaller tripod like the Induro Baby Grand or Benro HH100AV Hit Hat tripod for tabletop use, macro use or low to the ground angle shots. If you ever had any doubts about this type of Gimbal head rest assured that this paired with a good ball head does the job perfectly.
