Boiler timer/programmer. Simple to use and perfectly adequate. Doesn't require a canny tech-smart 5-year old to operate.
Form, fit, function replacement for previous Landis Gyr programmer which must have been a good 30 years old. Easy to swap out. New one is pretty lightweight but then it doesn't need to withstand harsh treatment. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts but another 30 years will see me out.

Do noy buy this Tomtom GO 6000 screen digitiser
Touch screen had a protective cover on the outside which peeled off easily. On the other side it was very thick indeed and would not come off without massive effort and left a lot of overly sticky glue around the outside and, inevitably, on the screen itself, thus leaving the screen periphery a mess, which I couldn't get off. I can only guess that it was very old and the glue had hardened to the point of being almost solid. So it was of no use to me and a total, complete waste of money. Do not buy this Tomtom GO 6000 screen digitiser. You have been warned.

Bosch corded electric planer
My first use of an electric planer. Easy to use and I was quickly using it similarly to a hand plane in that I was able to start planing part way along the work as opposed to having to start at one end or the other.
