Dark Star
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a seminal work in the art of science fiction film. Truly a work of genius - namely Dan O'Bannon and John Carpenter.
Although this is a comic work, the seeds of later films are clearly evident. The juxtoposition of prosaic, sometimes even infantile, human behaviour with the cold, impersonal and sometimes lethal environment of space is later used to chilling effect in O'Bannon's later film, Alien.
Something of interest: the final scene of the film is lifted directly from an old Ray Bradbury story. I've always wondered what his thoughts were on that.

Enjoyable absurdist entertainment
Not for everyone, but it has an engaging absurdist style that I love. Plus the actors are first rate.
